The Joy of Shaving Cream
I love shaving cream.

I think the smell is what I love best. Then there is the texture and soft feel on your hands. And you can squish it, slap your hands together with it to make a mess, and you can write in it.
Take shaving cream and mix it with a little food coloring - well, then you have a green toddler.
Today we did an art project with shaving cream...a project that was recommended for backyard fun. I think the hose would have made for easier clean-up...but green tub water is fun too!

Here is a recipe for the project we worked on today:
Here is a recipe for the project we worked on today:
Pretty Marbled Paper
(from Family Fun Magazine, modified slightly!)
You will need:
- a baking sheet with rim
-shaving cream
-squeegee
-liquid food coloring
-card stock
-something to wipe your hands (or your body if you are Jack) with!
What to do:
1. Cover the baking sheet with a half-inch layer of shaving cream. Smooth it with the squeegee. (we used our hands - it was more fun and messy)
2. Dot the cream with drops of food coloring, then use the stick to swirl it in the cream.
3. Lay a sheet of card stock on top of the cream and press lightly. Peel off the paper and use the squeegee to remove excess shaving cream. Set the paper aside to dry.

Thirty, Flirty & Thriving...
Jeremy turned the Big 3-0 on Monday.
Across the globe (Mongolia, China, England, Canada, Mexico, France, and soon to be Ireland); around the US; to the Carlson School of Management; to the top in sales at ADP since he started there eight years ago - with FIVE years in a row at #1!!!; to serving God in all he does; to a beautiful home with a wife and two sons; to complete three marathons - with training underway for several more;...and this is just in the last half.
I'd say 30 looks good on him!
A special thanks to our close friends and family, who helped us fill a barrel of food for Second Harvest as we celebrated the occasion!

Booty Camp
Booty Camp Has Begun!
Or, as I call it, "Naked Week!"
Jack is done with diapers and into big boy pants. We started and things are going pretty well so far. Hopefully this works! It will save a ton of money!!

You know you are a mom to boys when...
You go to the zoo and the thing that your son finds the most interesting is:
Ahh...
Last night my Jack said to me in a sweet and very serious voice, "Mommy, should we dance in the moonlight?"
And so we danced!
And so we danced!
